“Giving God More in 2024”

  Happy New Year everyone! The new year is here, and many are making plans, setting goals, and seeking God for His direction.  Does anyone have a prayer list with things you want God to do in 2024? 

  As I thought about making my list, I was led to shift my thoughts. Instead of thinking about things I want God to do for me, I had to ask myself, “What am I going to do for God?” God placed the title of today’s post in my heart and challenged me to focus on giving Him more. It’s been a long time since I have posted, but one of my goals is to write more in 2024. If I can use the gift of writing to bless someone else or encourage someone on their journey, God will get the glory! Is there anyone else out there who wants to give God more?

  If we focus on giving God more in 2024, I believe our desires and dreams will become a reality. I am reminded of Psalms 37:4, “Delight yourself also in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” Also, Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all of these things shall be added unto you.” 

  I want to challenge you as God has challenged me. Think about how you spend your time, money, events, commitments, and relationships. What can you do to give God more in any of these areas? Do you attend church? Are you faithfully serving?  I am thinking of one of Janet Jackson’s songs but changing the words to say, “What have you done for Him (God) lately?” 

  Giving God more in 2024 is exactly what I plan to do. How about you? May God bless you! Thank you for reading!
